Hi Steve I,m Back! Me & John Marytn were fairly "intimate" once! in 1979,in a club in Liverpool called "ERICS", i saw him play a gig.Erics was a small club. after his set,I went to the Bogs for a piss.& while i was stood there in he walked ,+stood next to me.It was a small loo.his aim was not that true & he pissed on one of my shoes!(these days i would have rushed out the next day +sold that shoe on eBay!) Ive seen him several times since.He is one fine singer.although a lousy shot!
Is that John Martyn? When at university I very nearly got in a fight with him in the students' union. Should have punched his lights out - the arrogant tosser.
Lord I love that guy - arrogant or not, he's fabulous. Does anyone remember the documentary about him that showed him in his true one-legged, alcohol soused light.
I still came out liking him, like an irascible brother.

I'm a late comer to John Martyn, introduced to his music by some visiting Yorkies...only this century.
I don't know how i lasted so long without listening to him.
