I'm Free

So, I see the lying fantasist has been released on parole after serving 2 years of his 4 year sentence. With that typical Archer arrogance he fixed all and sundry a steely stare, a stare that was once accompanied by threats that left many a junior journalist fearing for his or her career.

Now many of his acquaitances are talking of Jeffrey "bouncing back". Michael Crick (the only man I trust to talk of Archer), believes that, by autumn, the pull and lure of the bright lights of publicity will have him running back to tv studios up and down the land. Every tv show he appears on he should be howled down and booed off the stage in my opinion. If you see him on the street shout: "Hey Archer - you're a liar ! Sue me".

One thing's for certain. If you were working class and you lied your way through life like this convicted perjurer and slipper of envelopes stuffed with money to prostitutes has done, you wouldn't get the chance to carry on where you left off. People would see you for what you are. Archer's friends however, just put it down to bad luck. Y'know...we all do it....it's just a shame you got caught old man !

His *books* are crap too.

Farewell Farewell

Can't let today pass without a big thank you to a little Algerian creative genius by the name of Ali Bernarbia. Ali first graced the turf at Maine Rd two seasons ago. After joining the club the night before, he flew home to Paris, picked up his gear and the next morning flew back to London. From there he got the shuttle to Manchester - arriving about an hour before kick off. A couple of hours later he had made his debut for Manchester City, dazzled the opposition and won the hearts of every City fan in the stadium.

Ali has decided to hang up his boots at the age of 34.

It is reported that one of the factors in his decision was the untimely death of Marc Vivien Foe.

It was a treat to watch a footballer with so much creativity, so many ideas and so much class.

He will captain the side at the first official match in the new stadium against Barcelona. I've got my tickets and I'll be there to pay homage to one of the world's greatest footballers.
