Going Back
So we did stay in on Saturday night (and that's a first). We decided - after forlornly perusing the TV schedules - to watch a DVD. Dearest didn't want to watch what I did and vice versa. In the end we compromised on the second Harry Potter movie. This seemed a wise move as it was not that long ago we watched the first.
At this point Dearest confesses that she fell asleep just before the end of The Philospher's Stone.
"Could I just watch the end before we see the second one ?"
"Yeah no problem."
So in it goes and I start shunting back, scene by scene.
"Don't remember this............nah, nor that................this doesn't ring a bell...........nope........."
We ended up at the bloody Quidditch match. Had to sit through an hour of the thing again.
So after that we put in The Chamber of Secrets. I enjoyed it, it had more depth to it than the first - I'll have to read the book now.
"This is really very good" I said, and turned to look at Dearest lay on the settee. Eyes shut, gently snoring.
City recorded an absolutly convincing hammering of Charlton down at the valley on Sunday. Two seasons ago the same opening day fixture saw us getting battered 4-0. Its got me feeling optomistic again. Can't wait for Saturday and the first full house at the City of Manchester Stadium.
