January....sick and tired you've been hanging on me......

Dark days - literally and metaphorically, with the return to work, more car trouble and general knackeredness.

The season to be jolly passed by without incident. Friends and relatives were fed and 'watered'. Presents were, on the whole, well received and we finally rested like merry gentlemen before the wheels of industry needed oiling once more.

We finally got my Mam and Dad's Freeview box working. So my Dad can now depress my Mother with all the War documentaries on UK History and my Mother can depress my Dad with Soap reruns on ITV 2, all the shopping channels and UK Bright Ideas.

The Renault's emphatic cry of "Non !!" each time I attempted to coax life from it has resulted in a hasty part-ex for a younger, sleeker, eager to please Rover that will hopefully have never heard of de Gaulle. We pick it up on Thursday.

I stumbled across a few mp3s of songs written and recorded in my bedroom studio a few years ago. I've stuck them up on right if anyone's interested. The vocals could do with a bit more work and my mixing ability is rudimentary but, hey, I'm not planning on challenging Sophie Ellis Bextor. My New Year resolution is to get back into it and get my head round some of the new software that's out there.
